Consumer Affairs Commission (CAC) Chairman, Kent Gammon, addresses the attendees at the CAC’S quarterly press briefing held at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries, in New Kingston, on July 5.
The Consumer Affairs Commission (CAC) is a government agency under the Ministry of Industry, Investment and Commerce, whose role is to enforce the Consumer Protection Act 2005 (Amended 2012) and a range of additional legislation, promoting competition and fair trading, for the benefit of all Jamaicans.
The Commission has a chair and ten Commissioners, who are appointed by the Ministry of Industry, Investment and Commerce for terms of up to two years.
