If you have complained to a vendor about a service or product and the matter was not satisfactorily resolved, the Complaints Department at the Consumer Affairs Commission will be able to help. Through the use of the Consumer Protection Act among other pieces of legislation, the Complaints Department team will seek to resolve your complaint.
The Consumer Affairs Commission (CAC) is a government agency under the Ministry of Industry, Investment and Commerce, whose role is to enforce the Consumer Protection Act 2005 (Amended 2012) and a range of additional legislation, promoting competition and fair trading, for the benefit of all Jamaicans.
The Commission has a chair and ten Commissioners, who are appointed by the Ministry of Industry, Investment and Commerce for terms of up to two years.
