The Consumer Affairs Commission is a government agency established to inform, educate and empower consumers to protect themselves in the  marketplace.
The work of the Commission is three pronged. We engage in market research, provide complaint resolution services and run a vibrant consumer education programme.
The CAC operates under the Trade Act of 1955 and the Consumer Protection Act of 2005.

To foster ethical relations between the providers and consumers of goods and services in the Jamaican marketplace through effective advocacy, public education and complaint resolution utilizing professional staff and operating within the legal framework .
